See You In Australia: David Warner Congratulates T Natarajan On Maiden India Call-up

David Warner has congratulated his SunRisers Hyderabad teammate T Natarajan after the latter earned his maiden call-up from Team India for the upcoming T20I series in Australia. T Natarajan has replaced Varun Chakravarthy in the squad after the spinner was omitted due to a shoulder injury.

The left-arm pacer was previously named only among the reserve group of net bowlers but has now been included in the main squad. The Tamil Nadu pacer had a breakthrough season in IPL 2020 and will be looking to perform in the same manner in his maiden international series if he gets a chance.

His ability to bowl yorker at will stood out this season as he bowled as many as 71 of them, more than double anyone else. His yorker to dismiss AB de Villiers in the Eliminator is one of the best deliveries of the tournament. T Natarajan has finished IPL 2020 with 16 wickets in 16 games.

And as the pacer gears up for his first international series, he has received a heartwarming message from his IPL captain. In a video shared by SRH, Warner shared his message for the team and fans, and concluded by congratulating the left-arm pacer.

“Congratulations Nattu, I’ll see you in Australia,” Warner said.

Talking about the season, he described it as a mixed one for SRH, saying:

“We didn’t start too well, but at the back end we got some really good momentum given that we had 4-5 injuries.

“To finish off the way we did and to finish where we did, I am extremely proud of the guys. Hopefully next year we can go one step further and make that final,” added the Australia star.

‘Find of the season’:

Earlier on Sunday, David Warner had hailed T Natarajan as one of the find of the ongoing season. The SRH skipper made the remark after his team’s loss to Delhi Capitals in the second qualifier. Warner had also singled out the likes of Rashid Khan and Manish Pandey for special praise before concluding by thanking the fans.

“The findings of the likes of Natarajan has been a find of this IPL, and he’s been outstanding. Rashid has been amazing, and so has Manish Pandey at No. 3,” David Warner had said.

“From an all-round perspective, it’s been great. I’d like to thank all our supporters at home,” he had added.
