Well, it seems like there isn’t going to be an end to the debate of Rishabh Pant presence in the Indian National Cricket Team. The latest to speak of the youngster is Australia’s former great Dean Jones, who disagrees with the statement of Yuvraj Singh on Rishabh Pant.

Recently, Yuvraj Singh has said suppressing Rishabh Pant’s natural ability is not the right way forward when talking about the young Wicketkeeper-batsman’s recent struggles in international cricket.

Yuvraj Singh said the team management needs to understand Rishabh Pant’s thinking process and work with him to get the best out of the wicketkeeper-batsman who is touted to be MS Dhoni’s successor in limited-overs cricket.

It’s big boys cricket – Dean Jones

Disagreeing to Yuvraj Singh, Dean Jones has said India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant should not receive any special treatment for the talent that he possesses. Jones pointed out that it was the time that Pant realized his mistakes and quickly improved his game.

Further, Dean Jones went on to suggest that the youngster needs to improve his off-side game as quickly as possible to become the best in the business. And also, he described International cricket as big boys’ cricket, which requires a batsman, who have very fewer flaws.

Digging into his tweet, it read, Why should Pant be any different to any other young player that has made mistakes? It’s big boys cricket. I know he is young.. but he needs to learn some home truths and improve his off- side play!

Of late, Rishabh Pant has been under the pump for his “careless” approach in international cricket. Especially, in the white-ball format. Nonetheless, Rishabh Pant got the backing of the team management and selectors for more game time after MS Dhoni took a sabbatical post the World Cup. However, the Delhi wicketkeeper’s returns have been a cause for concern.
