However, the physio has clarified that it wasn’t a significant injury. The MRI scans have revealed it needed medication and a couple of days rest to get back to the normal.

However, Prithvi Shaw was hit by a bouncer in the Hyderabad Test against the Windies. Later, he looked a bit uncomfortable in the Vijay Hazare Trophy game as well. Moments after taking his guard for India A in the Deodhar Trophy, he was struck by Deepak Chahar’s delivery on his elbow thus leaving the crease.

As a precautionary measure, Prithvi was relieved from India A squad. And also, he was asked to fly back home on a Thursday morning. The youngster was replaced by Kedar Jadhav, who is making a comeback after a hamstring injury sustained during the Asia Cup 2018.

Meanwhile, the latest reports surfaced the youngster will be fit to play the first encounter in the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 for Mumbai. He will play the initial part of the season before travelling to Australia.

Prithvi Shaw will open innings in Australia:

His astounding knocks in the series against the Windies have already given him a ticket to travel to Australia in the forthcoming month. Despite coming into the side as the third opener, Shaw has managed himself to become the first option in the team with his stunning knocks.

Shaw scored a century on his debut in Rajkot Test to receive the man of the match trophy and later, scored crucial knocks in Hyderabad to bag the man of the series award to his name.
