Of late, it has been a regularity in Indian Cricket to ask for the replacement of Rishabh Pant with MS Dhoni. Once again, the young Rishabh Pant ends up receiving the flak following his poor show at Nagpur with the willow in his hand. However, this time, surprisingly fans started trending the name of MS Dhoni with ”DHONIWEMISSYOUONFIELD” Tag.

Rishabh Pant scored 6 off 9 balls:

The flamboyant batsman got the perfect opportunity to unleash himself on the field when Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul gave a perfect platform to go for the big strokes. However, that wasn’t the case for him with Rishabh Pant failing to get the bat on the ball against Bangladesh attack, who are being thrashed all over the park by the other batsmen at the crease.

Coming to the game, initially, India got the worst start with Rohit Sharma being knocked out for a cheap score. However, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan took the charge in powerplay overs to give a fine start to the innings.

However, in the 5th over, Shikhar Dhawan was outfoxed by the slower ball of Shafiul Islam when Mahmudullah took a brilliant catch at long-on. Then came the beautiful partnership between Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, which made Bangladesh fielders chasing the leather more often than not.

Though KL Rahul walked back soon after scoring a fifty, Shreyas Iyer knocked it brilliantly to put fans on edge of their seats. Iyer, who escaped being out on duck, took the chance with both hands to find the boundary fence more often than not.

Shreyas Iyer stunned Afif Hossain with three sixes in an over and then continued to for a period of time to put Indians on top of the game. However, Mahmudullah turned to Soumya Sarkar, who bowled a stunning double-wicket over to help Bangladesh make a comeback into the game. Despite Rishabh Pant failing to score, Manish Pandey ensured a good finish.
