Well, it seems like troubles are stretching far more than expected for Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. The duo, who were under the pump for their sexist comments on the National TV Show might get a ban in their cricketing careers. The respective CoA member Diana Edulji calls for a ban on both cricketers, as a punishment for their cheap thought process regarding women.

Hardik has already responded to the notice saying that he is ‘sincerely regretful’ of the comments made in the show and didn’t mean to hurt anyone. The cricketer also added in his apology that he got carried away with the nature of the show. Rahul is yet to respond to the board though he didn’t make startling remarks like Pandya.

“After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect,” Pandya wrote on his Twitter page.

However, one of the BCCI officials feels that the apology tweet won’t do anything great for Hardik Pandya. The official lashed out at Hardik Pandya for his remarks on women during the show. He also felt that the all-rounder has responded to the outrage but not realised from his own thought process.

Meanwhile, as per the reports on Times of India, COA member Diana Edulji is not happy with the apology but wants Pandya and Rahul to be banned for their actions on the show. She quoted that even a cricketer like Bishan Singh Bedi was handed a one-match ban after appearing on the television show in the 70s.

“Cricketers over the years, even while bonding with film stars, have maintained their distance for the simple reason that their primary role is representing the country. Comments like these don’t show anyone in good light. This is sad. Someone of the stature of Bishen Singh Bedi also did not get away with going on a television show in the 70s and was handed a one-match ban,” the source was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

However, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Hardik Pandya. Most probably, he hasn’t got any way to escape from it, as the show was already aired and also went viral. Perhaps, Hardik Pandya would be punished for few games on a code of conduct.
