West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who announced his retirement earlier this year, has hinted to come out of his retirement and play for his country again. Besides, he also took a jibe at Dave Cameron’s previous Cricket West Indies regime for retarding the flourish of the game in the country.

Meanwhile, the Caribbeans registered a fine win against Afghanistan under the leadership of veteran all-rounder Kieron Pollard. They won the first two matches to seal the three-match One Day International series. They will hope to go for a whitewash in the third and final ODI going on in Lucknow.

In the process, West Indies registered their first series win in the ODI format since 2014 when they whipped Bangladesh 3-0 in the Caribbean. Dwayne Bravo congratulated the whole side along with skipper Pollard and head coach Phil Simmons. He also hinted to come out of international retirement to play for his country.

“Congratulations to the team. It has been five years since we have not won an ODI series and the boys have now done this. I am a former West Indies cricketer but I may soon come out of international retirement,” Bravo said to Trinidad Guardian.

Dwayne Bravo, who is recovering from a finger surgery that kept him out of the entire 2019 Hero CPL, said he was happy with the win. However, he warned the fans not to get too excited but advised them to stay tuned as better days are ahead.

“Let me tell you all that you can’t think that West Indies cricket is now back to where we want it to be. What we have here are the right people in the right places and we are pointing in the right direction,” he added.

Furthermore, Dwayne Bravo took a sly dig at the departing Cricket West Indies boss Dave Cameron. He accused that a few people tried to keep a certain section of the cricketers which resulted in ending cricketing careers of many people. Bravo has represented West Indies in 40 Tests, 164 ODIs, and 55 T20Is and was a part of the T20 World Cup winning teams.

“West Indies cricket has suffered at the hands of vindictive people who were bent on keeping certain people away from the team, ending many careers,” he concluded.
