The Television broadcaster in a bid to further shorten the T20 cricket matches has led to some radical changes. The changes might be in action in domestic T20 competitions in England from 2020. As per reports, it is being learnt that the suggestions surrounding England’s new T20 competition being launched in 2020 will include five ball overs. Even the bowling ends will be changed only once, during the halfway mark of the match.

The action is expected to speed up T20 games

The action is expected to be taken to speed further up the T20 game which would, in turn, ensure that the match is finished early. It is being learnt that the England and the Wales Cricket Board is under severe pressure from the TV broadcasters. Big media houses like BCC have asked them to ensure that the flagship competition is completed within 2 and a half years.
