Arguably, the presence of Mashrafe Mortaza in the Bangladesh team makes a massive effect on the side. He has got the most significant skills to lead the team from the front with his controlled aggression. Meanwhile, he wants to explore his leadership qualities in politics as well, as now, it puts his participation for the upcoming series against the Windies in doubt.

In a case of contesting for the upcoming elections in Bangladesh, Mortaza will most probably see himself out from the selection radar. Speaking of the same, President Nazmul Hassan quoted they are yet to take the request from the skipper.

“It’s difficult [to say whether he will play the West Indies series]. He will definitely play in the World Cup. There is a date for submitting the form and I don’t know for sure when he will submit it and not aware of his programs,” President Nazmul Hassan quoted.

I am supposed to meet with him today and hopefully, I will know the details today. If there is an opportunity then definitely he will play. Even if has the opportunity to spare one day, then he will. Playing should be his priority,” he added.
