England registered yet another thumping victory against Australia in the fourth One-day International as they romped home with six wickets – to take a 4-0 lead in the 5 match series.

The skipper of the hosts, Eoin Morgan believes Three Lions have found a whole new level in their batting. Their victory at the Chester-Lee-Street was yet another example of their sheer dominance in the series.

Top-order batsman Jason Roy struck his second ton of the series and was involved in a 174-run partnership with Jonny Bairstow which came in less than 24 overs.

Moreover, their good work was ultimately finished off by Jos Buttler as he scored a fluent 54 off 29 deliveries. Despite centuries from Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch, Australia could only manage a score of 310 in their 50 allotted overs.

Their performance in Durban was simply sensational. England made history and smashed the Aussie bowlers all around the park in a bid to set a world record by scoring 481.

Apart from it, the batting line-up has simply done wonders for England in the recent years. Skipper Morgan will be hopeful of the fact that England can replicate their heroics in the upcoming World Cup. Interestingly, the coveted event is scheduled to be held at home.

“If it does become the ‘normal’, that would be awesome. Because it creates an unbelievable tone at the top of the order,” Sky Sports quoted Morgan after Australia’s annihilation in Durham.

Carrying on from his wonderful knock in Nottingham, Hales scored 34 in the fourth ODI.

“I think the form the two guys [Bairstow and Roy] are in is phenomenal. I think we’ve found a new gear or a new level of intensity,” he added.

With Bairstow and Roy in sublime form, England has formed one of the best top three batters in the world.

However, Morgan has admitted the fact that he won’t be looking forward to the selection meetings when premier all-rounders Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes returns to the squad.

Morgan is glad that the team is in a red-hot form:

“I’m glad we’re spoiled for guys in form at the moment because I’ve been in teams where [the players] next in are fighting for places and can’t get a run. This is a very privileged position to be in,” he added.

England led by Eoin Morgan was chasing a relatively below-par target of 311 on a flat surface.

Despite not losing wickets they couldn’t up to the ante. Eventually, they lost wickets on a consistent basis during the dying stages. It was actually instrumental in preventing Australia from scoring 330-340.
