“With the Duke ball around, Anderson and Broad in the side, England will easily win the game,” said Michael Vaughan ahead of the Trentbridge Test against India.

However, India turned the things in a most dramatic way leaving the hosts in all sorts of trouble. Despite them walking on thin ice, the former Englishman is still hopeful of England winning the game. He posted an optimistic tweet on England chances after stumps on day three and ended up receiving trolls from the fans.

Seeing the things from another end of the coin, the stylish former English cricketer quoted England has six sessions to bat and win the game. He feels the England batsman have the required fuel to drive next two days.

Digging into his tweet, it read quoting ”Simple Equation … England has 6 sessions to Bat to win the series … !!!!!!!!!!!!”

However, fans saw the funny side of the Michael Vaughan’s opinion. They were quick in retorting Vaughan in the best humorous way possible. Meanwhile, a few liked the faith shown by the former cricketer.

Right from the ball one on the third day, it was looking India’s game. The classy Pujara and the skipper Virat Kohli continued from where they had left on day two. Virat Kohli was the chief run-scorer in the partnership while Cheteshwar trusted his defence.

Though Pujara walked back scoring 72 runs, Virat Kohli continued his glorious form to enrol his 23rd Test hundred and second in the series. The onslaught was furtherly carried by Hardik Pandya who registered an unbeaten 52* before Virat Kohli declaring the innings.

In reply to India’s target of 520, the southpaw duo Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings batted out the tricky last nine overs of the day on nine and 13*, respectively.

However, the equation ahead of the day four will read England needing 498 runs to win while India needs ten wickets. Possibly, all the three results are still open.
