England Vs India 2018 ongoing Edgbaston Test already gave enough goosebump moments for the spectators. The brilliant knocks from skipper Virat Kohli and the quality bowling display kept the things interesting. Well, the stump mic banter has been far interesting in the ongoing 1st Test in Birmingham.

Ahead of the penultimate day of the Test match, it all came down to 84 runs for India and five wickets for England to lead the five-match Test series. The only person standing between the win and the loose is the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli.

Come on Boys, go hard at them: Virat Kohli said during the match –

It was all about ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who took the centre stage when bowling with the new ball. The quality spin bowling from Ashwin and with the opposition comprised of too many left-handers forced Kohli to push Ashwin for a longer spell.

During the spell, the chatters from the close-in fielders and of course, the cheeky comments from Kohli and the wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik have kept on coming during Ashwin’s spell on day three in particular.

Kohli asked his boys to go hard at them while the keeper Karthik tried to play with the batsmen’s mind. The sounds from KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan have also been quite audible.

Match Status:

After England starting the day three with nine wickets in the hand, Ashwin sent Keaton Jennings and Joe Root in the quick succession.

However, Dawid Malan and Jonny Bairstow took the job of repairing the ship.

Just when things looked bleak for India, the lanky pacer Ishant Sharma injected a triple-wicket over into the game. He picked wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler’s wicket in a single over after sending Malan in his previous over.

Suddenly, the clock turned in the Indians’ side with an epic spell. However, the 20-year-old Sam Curran showed his character by smashing a gutsy half-century to set a target of 194 for India.

In reply to the chase, Indian openers ensured avoiding the new ball first initial five overs, but Stuart Broad picked his rhythm at the right moment to send Dhawan and Murali Vijay in a quick succession.

The openers were followed by Rahul, Ajinkya Rahane and Ashwin thus leaving India in all kind of sorts.

However, it was once again Virat Kohli, who stood firmly in the middle with the help of Karthik from the other end after entertaining many through a stump mic banter.
