England Vs India 2018 2nd T20I - Twitter Reacts As England Trump India In Thriller

Cardiff witnessed an absolute thriller of a game as the hosts squared the three match series 1-1, with the decider remaining on Sunday. India fought valiantly throughout the game, but in the dying moments of the run chase, it was the cool head of Alex Hales which did the job for England in the middle.

Having put up a moderate 148 on board, India began their defense in style as Umesh Yadav struck twice at the top to dismantle England. However, a fine stand between skipper Eoin Morgan and Alex Hales developed, which meant that England were right back into the game.

The turning point in the game was the way the English batsmen played Kuldeep Yadav as they were happy to just play him through. Four wicketless overs from the chinaman meant that England had got to safety against him. A few meaty blows from Jonny Bairstow too helped England’s cause.

Despite three superb overs up front from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, it all came down to the last over when England needed 12. A cool Alex Hales hit a massive six on the very first ball of the over to put the game in England’s favor, before the team eventually got home.
