The toss is delayed due to rain in the second Test match between England and India set to be played at the home of cricket, Lord’s. In fact, it has been a chilly morning in the capital of England, with the temperature around 16 degree Celsius.

Indian captain Virat Kohli had said in the pre-match conference that he is contemplating to include two spinners in the side. However, the change in weather might play a role in changing Virat Kohli’s decision.

Toss is delayed due to rain.

In fact, it is going to pivotal to take into consideration the weather forecast of all the five days rather than just the opening day.

Meanwhile, England is leading the five-match series by a margin of 1-0. The hosts had won the first Test match by a margin of 31 runs. Sam Curran was the hero for the home side as the youngster scored 87 runs and took five wickets in the opening match.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli was the lone warrior for the Indian team in the batting department. The Indian skipper scored 200 runs, however, he ended up on the losing side. Therefore, he didn’t receive any support from the other end.

Meanwhile, England has named their 12-man squad for the second Test match. Ollie Pope who has had an impressive start to his County season will make his debut for England. Therefore, one all-rounder between Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes will make the cut into the final list of playing XI.

Therefore, England will like to build on their lead and continue with the impetus whereas India will like to make a solid comeback in the long Test series. The toss will take place as soon as the rains stop in London.
