As it happened:

Initially, it was Indians, who were put into bat first by English skipper Joe Root. Openers once again got the starts but failed to carry on with the flow. Pujara was once again a failure in the first innings. However, the smart piece of batting by Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane pulled India back on track to post a brilliant 329 on the board.
