England vs India 2018: Harbhajan Singh Calls for Quality Pitches

After the quality series between England and India, the experts gave their appreciations for the pitches that were used during the gruelling series in the United Kingdom (UK). Both teams were happy with the games to have shaped decently. Meanwhile, the veteran off-spinner, Harbhajan Singh calls for the more improvement in the Indian pitches.

The Indian spinner stated that they need to get the similar pitches across the world. He wants every game should be ended on either Day 4 or 5 to give the best chance for each player in the team to execute.

The flamboyant cricketer wants every fast bowler and spinner to get the best chance to perform in the Test match. The Kennington Oval has been the best example which gave the ample assistance for both the teams.

Harbhajan wants to make sure that India should play on such kind of wickets which will help them to know how to play on the Day 5 of a Test match. He believes that the lack of experience dented India’s chance in the final Test.

”We need to make sure that we play on good pitches so that the game goes on to Day 4, 5. Where everybody gets a fair chance to perform. Pitches where fast bowlers and spinners both come into play,” Harbhajan said.

”That is the way forward and if we do that, then only you will get the idea on how to play on a day 4-5 wicket. That is exactly what happened with India in England, this team doesn’t know how to play on a fourth and fifth-day pitch,” Harbhajan added to his lines.

However, as Harbhajan Singh said, the Indian team management should ask the curators to give proper pitches for the upcoming series against Windies after England inflicted the pain.

The series against Windies will be the good warm-up for India ahead of Australia tour.
