The pace bowler of England, James Anderson ranked number one Test bowler in ICC rankings revealed about his swing abilities after delivering goods against India. Apart from dominating highest wicket-taking charts of England in Tests, he became the first bowler to take 100 wickets against two different countries.

James Anderson completed his 100 wickets against India in the third match of five-match Test series at Trent Bridge. He earlier registered this feat against Australia.

From the wickets point of view, Anderson crossed the mark of 550 plus Test wickets. At Lord’s, he became the second bowler to take 100 wickets on a venue after Muttiah Muralitharan at home.

When it comes to conventional or reverse swing, it is one of the most challenging traits of bowling to face. The ball displays some movement late in flight in this very type of bowling.

Well, it is the quality of Anderson, who is bowling at a pace of around 80 mph.

In his conversation with ESPN Cricinfo, Anderson talks about his success, his childhood memories, and many other anecdotes.

Anderson said that he grows up by watching club cricket in North of England. He said that he got involved from the very point. Anderson said that as a kid, he played many games like cricket, football, tennis, and golf and enjoyed all the sports.

Anderson admitted it openly that swing has been his strength at a very young age. He said that as a young professional, it was challenging to understand conditions like India, Pakistan, and Australian. He said that with the passage of time, he got acquainted with other bowling skills.

Jimmy said a close line and length has always remained his priority whether it swings or not. Taking mentoring from Glenn McGrath, Anderson reiterated it is a bonus point if the ball swings in case of good line and lengths.

On his pairing with Stuart Broad, Anderson said that the duo shares a good relationship with each other.

Veteran bowler said that he spent a lot of time with him both on the field as well as off the ground. He said that it is vital to building a healthy relationship when being on the field.
