Shikhar Dhawan, India, England vs India
Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay enjoy their time after India's victory against England in the 3rd Test in Nottingham.

Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan celebrated India’s victory at Trent Bridge against England having a beer with his good mate and opening partner, Murali Vijay.

Murali Vijay is on the threshold of his Test career, as he’s been woefully out of form. As a result, Vijay got dropped from the squad for remaining two Tests, and instead Prithvi Shaw has earned his maiden India call-up.

Shikhar Dhawan was pretty impressive in the 3rd Test and got India off to good starts in both the innings. While he scored 35 in the 1st innings, Dhawan looked solid for a well composed 44 which included some brilliant shots in the next. Hence, the left-hander should keep his place in the XI for the following two Tests.

However, India produced a magnificent performance at Trent Bridge to win it by 203 runs. Moreover, it was a much-needed victory for the visitors especially when they had lost the opening two Tests. For the first time in five-match Test series, the batsmen were pretty impressive which laid the foundation for the win.

Early on, after being put into bat, India posted a more than competitive 329 on the board. It was the first time, the visitors put up more than 300 on the board in the Test series. Riding on brilliant knocks from captain Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane, India went past the 300-mark. While Kohli fell three runs short of a well-deserved century, Rahane got dismissed on 81. However, by then India had acquired a stable platform.

India thump England in Nottingham

The bowling department was quite spectacular in Nottingham for India. It was Hardik Pandya writing his name on the honours board with a five-wicket haul at the venue in the first innings.

It took him just six overs to get his maiden five-for in Test cricket. England was shot out for a mere 161 runs inside 39 overs which gave India enough time to bat sensibly and set the hosts a big target.

India batted better in the 2nd innings courtesy a century from Virat Kohli and a composed 72 from Cheteshwar Pujara. The target of 521 was always going to be improbable for England. They kept losing wickets on a consistent basis. After being reduced to 63/4 at one stage, it looked they will fold out quickly.

However, Jos Buttler scored his maiden Test ton, and Ben Stokes ably supported him which helped England delay the defeat. In the end, India scripted the memorable victory after just 17 balls on day five.

Meanwhile, there were some funny comments after Dhawan posted the picture with Vijay. Let us have a look at few of those reactions

Hence you should laugh your heart out.
