India’s rookie wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has had a tough time behind the stumps since his debut. Pant claimed an unwanted record in the young days of his International Test match career. Rishabh Pant has already conceded 25+ byes twice in his  Test career. Thus, the Delhi based wicketkeeper-batsman has claimed an unwanted record in his armoury. Subsequently, Pant had joined a list which he would not be proud of.

Meanwhile, there are three wicketkeepers who have leaked 25+ byes on more than two occasions in the red ball version. England’s former stumper Matt Prior conceded more than 25 byes three times in the career of 79 Test matches.

However, he could not make much of a difference in the fourth Test match with the bat. Pant is an attacking player and would have to alter his game in the red ball version which demands more patience from a batsman.

Pant has impressed in the recent past and would like to cement his place in the Test side. Meanwhile, India conceded 28 extras in which 25 were byes on the opening day of the fifth Test match.
