Recently only, James Anderson had gone past Glenn McGrath‘s tally of 563 wickets in Tests. However, the batsman who had been at the receiving end of these two bowlers on 15 occasions in Tests, Sachin Tendulkar has called James Anderson one of the finest bowlers in the game.

Anderson finished the things off in style at The Kennington Oval, London against India. In his friend’s farewell Test, James Anderson crossed the incredible feat of McGrath’s 563 wickets to close the curtains on the five-match Test series which the hosts won 4-1.

It isn’t easy for the fast bowlers of these days to yield wickets on those flat pitches. However, James Anderson is an exception on that list, as he got that unique technique to get the better of batsmen on a consistent basis.

Yet another gem of the thing with Anderson is that he will make sure himself fit for most of the games for England. Perhaps, he is the fittest fast bowler who missed the games occasionally for his country.

Meanwhile, hailing Anderson, the cricket icon, Sachin Tendulkar tweeted saying it was a great achievement by the Englishman. He finished it saying Jimmy is one of the finest fast bowlers the game has ever witnessed.

The swing master appeared in 143 Test matches for England to pick 564 wickets at an incredible average of 26.84.

He has bagged 26 five-wicket hauls, and three ten-wicket hauls in a match. Coming to the limited overs of the game, he has played in 194 ODI games and 19 T20I matches to pick 269 and 18 wickets, respectively.
