Finally, the England vs India 2018 series has been done and dusted. The quality of bowling and batting from either team have been a class apart. Meanwhile, the former Australian great Shane Warne congratulates both the countries for playing the game of cricket superbly.

Shane Warne also gave his best wishes for Alastair Cook and James Anderson who were the major highlighters of the week. Alastair Cook called curtains on his career while James Anderson surpassed Glenn McGrath in the wickets column.

He also gave his appreciation to James Anderson, who overtook his mate Glenn McGrath to become the leading wicket-taker in the world, as far as fast bowling is concerned.

His tweet read ”Congrats to England & India on a terrific series of test cricket & the curators for producing wonderful pitches too. Well done to Cooky on an outstanding career of determination, stubbornness courage & all done with class. Lastly, to Jimmy who overtook my great mate Pigeon.”

Further, the spinner asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to use duke balls for the Test cricket.

He also asked the pitch curators to deliver the pitches that will help the fast bowlers in the initial stages of the game and then help the spinners in the later stages of the game.

”Message to all curators around the world-make pitches that seam at the start of a test match then spin-make conditions tough to bat-this makes for exciting cricket & lastly to the ICC, please make all countries use duke balls for all red ball cricket (I’ve said this for 3 yrs),” he added.

However, it seems like Shane Warne has got the valid point to ask the International Cricket Council. The pitches used for England vs India 2018 series have been top-notch that helped the player to display their skills to the perfection.
