The Indian fans once again took to Twitter to ask BCCI for Ravi Shastri’s sacking after India lost their consecutive overseas Test series in 2018. The recent one being against England. Meanwhile, the fans want a coach like Anil Kumble, who achieved quite a success for India during his tenure.
The Indian cricket fans aren’t impressed with the way things panned out for India. They lashed out at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to get rid-off Ravi Shastri, as the head coach of the team after a poor outing to England.
Sack Ravi Shastri – Twitterati
Team India enjoyed quite a success under Kumble’s watchful eyes. India completely outsmarted the oppositions in the home conditions and reached the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 which has been the last tournament for Anil Kumble as head coach as well.
However, then there were rumours came out regarding the rift between Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble over team selection. In the end, it resulted in the ouster of Anil Kumble, and the rumours turned true as well.
Meanwhile, the selection of Ravi Shastri hasn’t served well for India. Recently, Ravi Shastri got criticised for his poor fitness, and a lot of memes have been carried out on his fitness levels as well.
The debacle in England pushed the bar in fans to ask BCCI bring back Anil Kumble as the head coach. It was the time under Anil Kumble when team India enjoyed quite a success in all formats of the game and became ruthless.
Initially, the advisory panel suggested the likes of Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan to travel with the team for the overseas tour. However, it went for the toss-up, as the head coach Shastri isn’t comfortable with the decision and picked his staff.
Here are the few tweets:
Hell yeah @BCCI is just interested in filling their pockets. But then you have to blame the team as well as they showed no application especially in batting. Time for change in coach as this young team needs a coach more than just Ravi shastri.

Believe in Ravi Shastri even if it means sacrificing Anil Kumble. Just Do It.

Ravi shastri should resign from post of head coach as taking moral responsibility of such a defeat. What say Sir? https://t.co/0bTf7l5dQY

High time you throw out Dhawan. Rahane is a class player but is now lacking form and confidence. Drop him for 2 series and make him play domestic cricket. For heaven sake get in youngsters. Gill should be in the team. Ravi Shastri is useless.

Don't understand why Ravi Shastri is appointed as coach in the first place. He is good only in commentary. That's all.

I seriously beleif india needs specialist coaches for every department while touring overseas.
Ravi Shastri is a positive personality and he motivates team in good manner but motivation will not work without preparation and preparation can only be made with specialists.— Pritam Das (@SppritamDas) September 12, 2018
