The lack of prowess in the bowling and the repeated failures of Virat Kohli are the primary results after the conclusion of India’s tour of England in 2014. Contrastingly, the India skipper Virat Kohli and the bowling section had done incredibly well this time in England. Still, the result of the series has been the same. Meanwhile, Diana Edulji gave her words regarding the same.
The chief member in the CoA, Diana Edulji has quoted the performances from Virat Kohli have been extraordinary. She feels no one can expect more than what Virat Kohli has delivered with his willow in the series.
You cannot expect anything more from Virat Kohli – Diana Edulji
The India skipper fared pretty exceptionally for India in the ongoing series. He smashed all the records right in his first innings at Edgbaston and then followed it up with the beautiful knocks at Trentbridge.
Speaking of the same, she showered words of praise on him and asked the other batsman to rise to the challenge. Meanwhile, Diana Edulji expressed her happiness for the bowlers who grabbed 77 wickets in the series so far.
“Virat has scored over 500 runs and you cannot expect anything more from him. He has been brilliant and I feel that the others needed to rise to the challenge. To be fair, when you travel to England in the second half of the summer, batting becomes slightly easier,” Diana Edulji said while speaking to Hindustan Times.
”Despite that, the bowlers have done an excellent job. They have picked 80 wickets in the series and if you see, they have been at the top of their game right from the South Africa series and that is heartening to see,” she signed off.
