Top England cricketers Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali are all set to miss the May leg of IPL 2019 due to international commitments and to prepare for World Cup 2019.

As per the international schedule, England travel to Ireland to play one-off ODI in Dublin on May 3.

All the four players are a regular member of the ODI team and will be playing the ODI, which will mean that they will not be part of their respective teams in the last two weeks.

After the one-off ODI, England also play Pakistan in a limited-overs series that starts on May 5.

In no case, England team management will allow the players to miss the games in a World Cup year.

Hence, all the four players will surely miss the playoffs should their team qualify for the next stage.

Rajasthan Royals’ all-rounder Jofra Archer, who is on World Cup radar as per Trevor Bayliss, will also miss last two weeks of IPL if selected in England squad for World Cup.

The 23-year-old all-rounder was bought by Rajasthan  Royals at a huge price of Rs 7.2 Crores last year.

He also did well in his debut IPL season by scalping 15 wickets in 10 matches bowling at an economy rate of 8.36.

If is selected in World Cup squad, Rajasthan Royals will miss the services of top three players i.e. Stokes, Buttler and Archer.

Apart from England players, Shakib-al-Hasan and Jason Behrendorff, if selected in World Cup, will also leave the league early.

Bangladesh play a tri-series against Ireland and West Indies starting in the first week of May that will see Shakib leaving IPL early.

He was one of the consistent performances for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018 and played in all 17 games.

Behrendorff is a part of Mumbai Indians. He remains in contention for a place in Worl Cup team and if selected, he will also leave the tournament early.

Australia do not play much international cricket during IPL but their players have to return back to the country before May 1.

It is almost confirmed that Faf du Plessis, a part of Chennai Super Kings, will miss first few games for his franchise as South Africa play Sri Lanka in a T20I on March 24.
