Meanwhile, the incident happened on the fifth delivery of the 49th over. Faheem Ashraf smacked the ball to the boundary line. In a comedy of errors, New Zealand players did some terrible work on the field to gift Pakistan a couple of extra runs.

Moreover, as the grounds were too short and fielders working more on their pace and fitness, it is impossible to snatch five runs off just a mere flick shot. However, the Kiwi fielders had made some blunder on the field which went in favour of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Faheem Ashraf had flicked the ball down to deep square leg, and the throw came in at the keeper’s end. Latham grabbed the ball and hurled a wayward throw at the bowler’s end; it rolled down to long-off enabling another overthrow for the duo. It was a comedy of errors on the field and Pakistan gained five runs from that delivery.

Furthermore, the match ended without a result getting declared due to heavy rains. Lockie Ferguson was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant spell. He bowled a spell of ten over giving away 45 runs and took a fifer. On the other hand, Saheen Afridi was awarded the Man of the Tournament for his brilliant effort.
