An effective emergence of Pakistan’s youngster Faheem Ashraf on the International circuit is quite a story for an inspiration for many rising stars. He got the limelight in the domestic circle and then, improved his game strength-to-strength to become lethal for Pakistan.

Ashraf’s exceptional ability to swing the ball in any conditions and the skills to introduce himself to the match-winning tallies have been the blessing for him and the team in particular.

Meanwhile, Ashraf registered his maiden five-wicket haul while facing Zimbabwe in the recently-concluded five-match One-day International series in Bulawayo.

Ashraf spill beans on becoming the champion side:

Ashraf furtherly reckoned that the bonding in the team has been great. The mutual appreciation is helping the individuals to perform better as a unit.  He felt that probably have been one of the best reasons for Pakistan’s success in recent times.

“It’s true that we are a very close team and we back each other all the time,” he added. “Since the Champions Trophy, we play as one unit and are happy with each other’s performances; which is one of the reasons why we are winning matches in all formats. A lot of credit for my first five-wicket haul in ODIs goes to Azhar Mahmood,” Ashraf concluded.

However, as Faheem Ashraf said, Pakistan cricket has grown a lot in stature by registering fine victories. They completely dominated Zimbabwe in ODI series and the tri-series victory is an icing on the cake for Pakistan in their Zimbabwe tour.
