Feel Extremely Thankful and Grateful to the Indian Team - VVS Laxman

Former India cricketer, VVS Laxman thanks team India members for attending his birthday and making the auspicious occasion a special one for him. Meanwhile, a few of the former stars had sent their greetings on the social media.

However, VVS Laxman was one of the stylish batsmen and also acted as a saviour for team India on many occasions. Meanwhile, he turned 44 on November 1st and the entire Indian cricket team gave him a pleasant surprise. The Hyderabadi batsman acknowledged it and posted a thank you message on his official Twitter handle.

Moreover, VVS Laxman was born into a family of doctors but chose a different path for himself. He also left the medical studies in the mid-way to become a cricketer. However, Laxman had played 134 Tests and 86 ODIs scoring 8781 and 2338 runs, respectively. He was named as ‘Very Very Special’ Laxman by the teammates and by his fans.

Furthermore, while taking his name, the first thing comes into the mind is about his best knock of 281 runs against Australia. VVS Laxman scored the-then highest individual score by an Indian batsman in a Test match. However, his 281-run knock not only turned out to match saving inning but a match-winning knock after India got a follow-on in the game.

Meanwhile, VVS Laxman also slammed 56 half-centuries along with 17 centuries in red-ball cricket at a healthy average of 45.97 in Test cricket.

Dravid enters an elite list

Also, on his birthday, Laxman’s best friend-parter on the pitch, Rahul Dravid got inducted into the ICC’s Hall of Fame. He thus became the fifth Indian player to enter the elite list. The others on the chart are Bishen Singh Bedi, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Anil Kumble.

Meanwhile, Laxman thanked everyone for gathering on his birthday and making it memorable for him.
