Fixtures; India's Tour of South Africa 2018, Date and Venue

Cricket South Africa has announced the fixtures for the upcoming India series, which will see both the countries lock horns in early 2018.

The earlier announcement stated that there will be a three Tests, six ODIs, and three T20Is will be played in January and February. The T-20 encounters will all be doubleheaders, as Women’s team will also play on the same day.

Cricket South Africa’s chief executive, Haroon Logart in a presser released the full fixtures of India’s tour of South Africa.

“We are pleased to finally announce the complete schedule of international cricket starting tomorrow with the first Test match against Bangladesh,” commented CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat.

Right after, India, Australia is scheduled to tour the Proteas which will be a big home season for the South African team, and their home season will start with the Test series against Bangladesh, which will begin from Thursday 28th September.

“It is going to be a very busy home season with both India and Australia touring in the new year. This will be a big season for the Standard Bank Proteas and a real treat for our fans.” Logart added further.

The CSA chief also highlighted the fact, that T20 matches will feature both Men and Women’s team going head-to-head on the same days.

“The Momentum Proteas will also be involved with doubleheader T20 International matches between South Africa and India. Featuring both our men’s and women’s teams on the same day is going to be a very special occasion and most fitting for the women’s game which is growing and attracting its own fans.” He said.
