How brilliant was England on the other night against Windies Cricket Team at Barbados? They chased the mammoth total with a few balls to spare to make it look like a  cake-walk. The brilliance from Joe Roor and Jason Roy outsmarted Chris Gayle‘s heroic knock. Meanwhile, following the victory, Graeme Swann believes that the current side has got a great chance to win the ICC World Cup 2019.

Of late, the England and Wales Cricket Board got a settled squad in the ODI format with all the departments being covered with the eligible players. The home conditions will also put them as one of the favourites to win the tournament.

They got a fantastic leader – Graeme Swann

Further, the legendary former cricketer quoted that the team got the best skipper in the ranks, which certainly a great boost for the team. Speaking of the batting department, he believes that the sky is limit for them, as they never showed any fear while chasing the big tally on the board.

He went on to add saying that the current team can tackle any kind of opposition in the world cricket. Swann also highlighted the recent stats of Eoin Morgan-led- England team, especially, in home conditions against the best sides in the International cricket.

“For the first time in a long time I’m very confident about England’s chances going into a World Cup,” Swann said. The sky is the limit when these blokes’ bat – they think 400 is a very distinct possibility rather than a pipe dream. They are feared around the world because of it,” he said to Ealing Times.

“Anyone who has come to England in the last few years might win the odd game, but you don’t win many series in England in one day cricket. They have got a fantastic leader. Eoin Morgan is the most impressive of the world’s one day captains. He is the right man to lead this team and potentially win the whole thing,” he added.

Spin department is brilliant:

Meanwhile, Swann lauds the partnership of Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali, who have been pretty exceptional for the team. The duo delivered the goods more often than not for the team with their experience of playing in white-ball format.

“The spin bowling is very strong,” he said. Rashid and Ali over the last couple of years – they are happy with the white ball. They are visibly happy. As a partnership, they have won a lot of matches for England over the last two years. I don’t see any weak areas for England now,” he inferred.

Well, as Graeme Swann said, the current unit of England has got the goods to deliver in the ICC World Cup 2019. With the tournament being played in home conditions, one can expect a lot from the current side.
