Meanwhile, here we will see four changes Virat Kohli brought in after taking charge in international cricket.
Under Virat Kohli, India had dominated the mammoth home season in 2016/17 and a significant part of it in 2017/18. However, under Kohli, India managed to reach the finals of the Champions Trophy 2017 but lost to arch-rivals Pakistan by 180 runs.

Compulsion of DRS
After the departure of MS Dhoni in 2014, India Test captain, Virat Kohli had said he is open to discussions on the implementation of the controversial Decision Review System (DRS) with his teammates. Moreover, Dhoni always used to feel that DRS is not trustworthy and it still requires some significant upgradation.
However, Kohli was not happy with the BCCI’s adamant refusal to accept DRS when N Srinivasan was the President. Meanwhile, some of the Test-playing nations such as Australia, England, and New Zealand had already started using it by then.
Injected Aggression into the team
The Indian cricket team has become more competitive after Virat Kohli took over the reigns from MS Dhoni across three formats. So far, Kohli has won 54.76 per cent of the total matches he had played as a captain. The right-hander batsman has led India in 42 games and had won 23 of them with nine losses and nine draws.
Virat Kohli has got all his weapons in the Indian team with strong batting line up, all-rounder as well as the bowling attack.
Yo-Yo Test compulsory
The Yo-Yo test has been a part of the sporting world to test the fitness of the athletes. Indian cricket team and management had made it clear that every player needs to pass yo-yo test to make himself available for the national selection.
The Yo-Yo test is a variation of the Beep test, a running, aerobic fitness routine that Indian cricketers have to undergo. The method has two sets of cones that are 20 meters apart. Once the player hears a beep sound, he has to reach the marker on the other side by the time another sound is blown, turn and get back to where he started before the third beep.
Virat Kohli wants wives to be allowed for accompanying their players on overseas tours
Of late only, Virat Kohli had requested The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to change the current rule which will enable wives and girlfriends to accompany the cricketers for only two weeks on overseas tours.
However, the current rule allows WAGs of India’s cricket to attend them for only 14 days after the first two weeks of a 45-day trip abroad.
On the tour of South Africa earlier this year and England, the likes of Anushka Sharma, Ritika Sajdeh, Ayesha Mukherjee and other star wives accompanied the players. Moreover, they were seen cheering for their superstar husbands from the stands during the limited-overs phase.
