The biggest Cricket carnival is almost a year away. India had reached the semifinal stage of the previous edition of the World Cup in 2015. However, the Men in Blue will like to go all the way in the upcoming tournament. As the next year World Cup is going to be held in England, the next month England tour is of vital importance.

However, there are some players who will represent India in the next year World Cup and they had also featured in the previous edition.

Let’s take a look at the four players:

Dhoni’s experience will be crucial for India.

MS Dhoni had led India in the previous two editions of the World Cup. Meanwhile, there were doubts raised over the participation of MS Dhoni in the next World Cup. Dhoni’s form was dipping and thus there were questions raised over his place.

However, Dhoni was able to quash the doubts as he returned to form in the recently concluded IPL. Dhoni’s experience is going to be imperative for the Indian team.

Moreover, Dhoni advice to the bowlers will be crucial. Dhoni has all the experience under his belt and he is going play a big role in the next year ODI carnival.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli will lead India in the upcoming World Cup. The Indian skipper is currently the best-limited overs batsman going around in the world.

Kohli’s form had faded away after scoring a hundred against Pakistan in the previous World Cup. Thus, Virat will like to be at the top of his game. Kohli will be pivotal for the success of the Indian.

Moreover, Kohli’s form in the last four years has been outstanding. Consequently, he will like to make the most of it. Furthermore, Kohli will also like to lead from the front.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin has failed to make the cut in the limited overs format after the Champions Trophy. However, the veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will like to make use of his experience to get back in the Indian colored jerseys.

Ashwin had scalped 13 wickets in the 2015 World Cup. Thus, he would like to bounce back in the Indian team. The off-spinner will have to fight against wrist spinner battery of Chahal and Kuldeep to get back his place.

Suresh Raina has made the cut into the T20I squad. However, he hasn’t yet received his opportunity in the 50-overs set up. Thus, Raina will like to get back into the One Day squad of the Indian team.

Meanwhile, the southpaw batsman has all the experience under his belt. Furthermore, Raina is a livewire on the field which further helps the team. Moreover, Raina can also chip in a couple of handy overs.
