Gautam Gambhir Reacts On MS Dhoni's Decision To Join Indian Army

Former Indian southpaw batsman Gautam Gambhir has reacted on MS Dhoni’s decision to join the paramilitary forces in Kashmir. MS Dhoni has taken a two months sabbatical and made himself unavailable for the tour of West Indies. Thus, Dhoni has decided to serve the country by joining the army in Kashmir.

Dhoni is posted in the Kashmir Valley of the victor force. Meanwhile, there were speculations doing the rounds that Dhoni would announce his retirement from the game. However, the former skipper has put his retirement on hold.

Gambhir terms Dhoni’s move as fantastic.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni has always shown his love for the armed forces. MS Dhoni became the qualified paratrooper in 2015. Dhoni has been awarded the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Territorial Army.

Subsequently, Gautam Gambhir has termed Dhoni’s decision to join the armed forces as fantastic. Gambhir believes Dhoni’s decision to join the army will inspire the young generation to join the force.

“Dhoni’s decision to join the army is a fantastic move. I have said many times that Dhoni needs to do spend time with the Indian Army if he really wishes to wear the uniform and now by deciding to really serve the army he has proved his dedication,” Gambhir told ABP News.

“This move from Dhoni will motivate thousands of youngsters to join the Indian Army,” Gambhir added.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni is in Kashmir for 15 days. Dhoni will stay with the soldiers and he will perform his chores like a regular soldier of the army.

Dhoni will serve in Victor force.

“Lieutenant Colonel (Honorary) MS Dhoni is proceeding to 106 Territorial Army Battalion (Para) for being with the Battalion from 31 Jul-15 Aug 2019,” the statement said.

“The unit is in Kashmir as part of Victor Force.He’ll be taking duties of patrolling, guard&post duty and will be staying with troops.”

“As requested by the officer and approved by Army Headquarters; he will be taking on the duties of patrolling, guard and post duty and would be staying with troops,” the statement said.

MS Dhoni has always been an inspiration for the next generation and he is once again set up the right example for the future generation.
