Brisbane Heat has confirmed that their head coach and former Australia coach Darren Lehmann’s Twitter account has been hacked. Darren Lehmann’s Twitter account was filled with derogatory messages, leaving everyone utterly perplexed. The display picture of the handle was changed too.
Darren Lehmann is the second individual associated with Australian cricket whose Twitter has been hacked in recent times. Last year in October, former all-rounder Watson’s Twitter and Instagram accounts were also hacked. Watson had to put out an apology for the illicit photos that were posted by hackers on his accounts.
And while Darren Lehmann is yet to speak on the issue, Brisbane Heat confirmed the news on Twitter on Monday.
“Hi Heat fans, thanks for the messages. We are aware our coach Darren Lehmann’s Twitter account has been hacked and are working closely with Twitter to rectify the situation. We apologise for any offence caused this evening,” Brisbane Heat tweeted.

The hacker has been abusing Iran in their tweets while the account’s name has been changed to ‘Qassem Soleimani | F**k Iran’.Iran’s military chief Soleimani was recently killed in a drone attack by the United States of America.
The hacker, nonetheless, has used the platform to spread his messages on the ongoing issue between Iran and USA. The hacker has used Lehmann’s account to promote anti-Iran messages to more than 340,000+ followers.
Meanwhile, Darren Lehmann was busy with the Big Bash League commitments on Monday as Brisbane Heat took on Sydney Thunder. It was a fine evening for the Brisbane-based outfit as they won the rain-affected game by 16 runs (DLS method). Batting first, Heat posted a mammoth total of 118 for 4 in the allotted 8 overs thanks to a 16-ball fifty from opener Tom Banton. In reply, the Thunder ended on 60 for 4 in five overs.
