Luck seems to have deserted Suryakumar Yadav. The Mumbai star has been doing all he can with the bat but it has not yielded the desired result. Suryakumar Yadav has been in stunning form in the ongoing domestic season. At a time when India are desperately searching for a reliable finisher, Suryakumar Yadav has shown he can be that man.

The right-handed batsman looked class apart in Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and is currently leading Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy. He has managed to get rid of the inconsistent tag with his impressive performances this year.

Suryakumar Yadav finished the Vijay Hazare Trophy with an average of 113, the highest in the competition. The Mumbai star continued in the same vein in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His tally of 392 was the third highest while his strike rate of 169 was the second-best among batsmen with 250 runs in the tournament.

However, his form has not changed his luck as far as playing for India or any other Indian team is concerned. There were reports he could make it to the Indian team for the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka and ODI series against Australia. However, the selectors ignored him once again.

Harbhajan Singh baffled:

The latest decision from the national selectors, nonetheless, has left veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh perplexed. Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter to express his surprise over the treatment of Suryakumar Yadav and asked whether there are different rules for different players.

“I keep wondering what’s wrong @surya_14kumar hv done ? Apart from scoring runs like others who keep getting picked for Team india india/A india /B why different rules for different players ???,” wrote Harbhajan Singh.
