Of late, Hardik Pandya has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. The India allrounder recently attended talk show Koffee with Karan along with his teammate KL Rahul. And by the time, the fans ended up watching the show, Pandya was all over the internet for his controversial remarks. The flamboyant player perhaps revealed a bit too much in the show and the fans were quick to slam him. He was bashed on Twitter by the fans for his ‘misogynistic’ and ‘creepy’ comments .

There were some particular answers that did not go down too well with the mass. One of them was the allrounder and Rahul’s pick between Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar as the better batsman. While the jury is still out on even coming close to the conclusion of the debate between Tendulkar versus Kohli, both the players had no hesitation whatsoever in picking Kohli over Tendulkar as the better batsman.

What made things worse for Pandya was his remarks on women and his personal life that definitely left a bad taste in mouth. Despite being such a popular figure in the country, the Baroda star gave answers that one can least expect from a cricketer in this cricket-obsessed nation. His disturbing remark about his family being open and how he came home after losing his virginity took the fans by utter surprise. The allrounder had also revealed how he once took his parents to a party where they asked him which woman he was seeing, and he pointed at all of them one by one.

And after facing so much backlash on social media, Pandya has now issued an apology, saying he ‘got a bit carried away with the nature of the show’.

“After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect,” wrote Pandya.

Pandya returned to the Indian squad from injury for the final two Tests of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. He, however, did not play any game. He has stayed on in Australia for the three-match ODI series starting 12 January.
