Premier India all-rounder Hardik Pandya missed out on the latter part of international action in 2019 due to back injury. He also went under the knife during the period and subsequently underwent rehabilitation period. Hardik Pandya, however, has recovered and trained himself to make a comeback in competitive cricket with the IPL 2020.

Hardik said that he is hitting the ball quite well now and is in good shape and great mental space. He also believes that things will come out really well in the IPL 2020. The Baroda all-rounder also mentioned that no matter how long he has stayed away from the action, once he is back, it has to be worth it and good things are on the way.

“The way I’m hitting the ball right now, the shape I’m in, the mental space I’m in, it is just a matter of time that I go and spend some time on the ground and I think things will come out pretty well,” Pandya said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians’ official Twitter handle.

“No matter how far I go from the game, no matter how long I stay out, when I come back, it has to be worth it. I have prepared very well and I think, great things are coming ahead,” the 26-year-old flamboyant all-rounder added.

Hardik has been a vital cog in the Mumbai Indians set-up. He will be raring to go in the IPL 2020 after missing out on action for a long period of time. It was his prolific run for the Mumbai Indians during the inaugural years which worked as a ladder for his national team selection. He has also grown in his stature ever since.

Mumbai Indians have been the most successful team in IPL history. They have clinched the IPL title four times under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. CSK are the second most successful team with three titles to their name.

IPL 2020 will be played entirely in UAE due to the pandemic situation forcing the cricket board to host the tournament away from India. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah will be the three venues used for the tournament. Dream 11 have been named as the sponsor for the upcoming season of the tournament after VIVO pulled out.
