India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya is looking forward to some rest after the culmination of the limited-overs leg in the United Kingdom (UK) on Tuesday (July 17).

Moreover, Pandya also expressed disappointment following the three-match One-day International series loss by 2-1 against Eoin Morgan-led England.

Meanwhile, Pandya scored 45 runs in the Twenty20 International series. In fact, he played a quickfire knock of 33 off just 14 balls in the T20I decider to provide the finishing touches.

Furthermore, he was also the leading wicket-taker in the T20I series with six wickets to his name in three outings.

However, Pandya was not able to repeat his magic in the ODI series. The right-hander Baroda-based cricketer scored only 42 runs in the two innings he played in the 50-overs format.

Moreover, his performance with the ball was also not up to the mark. He scalped a solitary wicket in three matches.

In fact, Pandya conceded his runs at an economy rate of 6.93. Thus, Virat Kohli had to bowl Suresh Raina to cover up Pandya’s over.

However, Pandya will look to turn the tide in the upcoming five-match Test series. The all-rounder had shown that he can deliver in the red-ball form on the South African tour. Therefore, he is going to be an asset to the Indian team.

Kohli’s Team India is at the numero uno position in the longest format. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that the tourists will have their work cut out in the English conditions.

The bowlers had scalped 60 wickets on the South African tour. Consequently, India’s bowling battery will look to repeat the same performance.

However, death-bowling specialist Jasprit Bumrah is likely to miss out on the first three Test matches.
