The strong determination and grit to perform will always take the players to the places in International Cricket. One such player has been Virat Kohli, who always played with the same intent when he was playing for Team India. Meanwhile,  an Indian blind cricketer Irfan Ahmed quotes that he adores Virat Kohli but wants to emulate Hardik Pandya.

The blind cricketer is the first person from Kashmir to play for Indian blind cricket team. Irfan added that he pretty happy and felt like heaven when he first received the call-up to represent Indian blind cricket team.

The youngster has been named in the 18-member squad that will be taking on England in the 3-match T20I series in Bangalore. Irfan is over the moon and thanked all the people, who wished him a good success.

“I felt like being in heaven when I heard about my selection. My question of why I was born blind has now been answered. Just hearing the excitement of the commentators when a player hit a six would give me goosebumps and this is what drove me to the sport,” he quoted.

“Virat Kohli has been my idol. I am new to international cricket, so I have to establish myself. I feel I can take up the same role as Hardik Pandya does in the sighted cricket team,” he added to his lines while speaking CNN News 18.

However, it has been a pretty emotional thing for the young Irfan to receive the call-up. Hopefully, he shines in the upcoming series and achieves his goals in the International Circuit.
