No matter where Jimmy Neesham goes, super over just keeps following him. Since the World Cup final in July last year, he has been involved in several encounters which had to be decided by the super over and he was involved in another one on Sunday when Kings XI Punjab beat Mumbai Indians in the super over.

This was the second game for Kings XI Punjab in the ongoing IPL 2020 that was decided by the super over. Earlier in the competition, they had ended up on the losing side against Delhi Capitals. But on Sunday, KL Rahul’s side held its nerves to beat the defending champions and keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

It was a crazy game of cricket as not one but two super overs were needed to decide the winner after both the teams finished on 176 in their respective 20 overs. In the first super over, Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly to restrict KXIP to 5.  Mohammed Shami was equal to the task too as he too restricted Mumbai Indians to 5 before the second super over took place.

Batting first in the second super over, Mumbai Indians scored 11 runs against Chris Jordan. In reply, KXIP chased down the score in four balls. Chris Gayle hit the first ball bowled by Trent Boult for a six before Mayank Agarwal dispatched the third and fourth deliveries for fours to end the game.

Jimmy Neesham’s reaction to another super over:

Soon after the game ended, Jimmy Neesham took to Twitter to react to the thrilling game of cricket and being part of another clash which was decided by the super over. It all began when an user asked him for tips to remain calm in such pressure situations.

“I wonder how @JimmyNeesh keeps his nerves calm during such games. Please help us with some tips neesham,” wrote the user.

Jimmy Neesham noticed the tweet and decided to react to it. In his trademark manner, the New Zealand allrounder revealed the reason behind holding his nerve during such games, writing: “I am dead inside”
