The introduction of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal into India’s playing XI after the 2017 Champions Trophy in England made a dramatic impact on the team’s results. When asked if Yuzvendra Chahal and his performances have literally shut the ODI door on veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, the young Kuldeep Yadav quoted that they haven’t made anyone to be ousted from their roles. He feels that the Wrist Spinners made massive progress in the game for India.
“No, no, not at all. We haven’t ousted anyone. It’s just that we have got the opportunities and we did well. They (Ashwin and Jadeja) have always been doing well for India. In Test matches, Ash (Ravichandran Ashwin) and Jaddu Bhai (Ravindra Jadeja) are still playing,” Kuldeep said on the eve of the second ODI.
As the statement made by Kuldeep Yadav has got all the required ingredients to stir controversy, Kuldeep Yadav was quick in giving the clarification. He quoted that Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja got the required experience, which they always shared with the youngsters.
“And we learn a lot from them. They have a lot of experience. When I am in the Test squad, I learn a lot from them. Whenever we got an opportunity, for me and Chahal, we have performed for the team and that helped the team to win, so happy about it,” Kuldeep explained.

Further, the Chinaman quoted that the current three spinners are doing a fine job for the team. He doesn’t want to take any pressure and wants to focus on each game by not looking too far ahead.
“To be honest, me, Chahal and Jaddu Bhai (Ravindra Jadeja) are playing really well so nothing much to worry about and we are focusing game by game,” added Kuldeep.
