Lungi Ngidi of South Africa is the latest person to heap praise on Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his exceptional cricketing skills and the leadership ability. The flamboyant Proteas cricketer Lungi Ngidi has worked with MS Dhoni during his stint for Chennai Super Kings at Indian Premier League.

Lungi Ngidi enjoyed his first season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) under the teaching of India’s most successful captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Within a short time, he emerged as the leader of the pace attack during the tournament. However, he missed out in IPL 2019.

In a bid to add more pace and variety to the bowling line-up, CSK’s purchase in Lungi Ngidi produced effective results as the Proteas pacer returned with 11 wickets from seven outings in his maiden IPL season.  Thus, he became one of the crucial members of CSK during that campaign.

In fact, he was dearly missed by the fans of CSK, as they looked pretty weak with the bowling department failing to display their skills in away matches. However, he will be back to the team when the new season gets underway in 2020.

“Very good experience for me. A lot of learning happened there. I was given a lot of responsibility as well in a short space of time. He (Dhoni) backed me, the coaching staff backed me and the players did as well. So I felt I just fit in the team quickly. Playing with Dhoni, I got a lot to learn from him,” Lungi Ngidi said as per Times Now.

”Certain situations where you might be a day in the headlights, he’s able to just call me down and just remind that you know at the end of the day, it’s still a game. Very very good experience and I really enjoyed working with him,” added the youngster on the Indian veteran.

On the work front, Lungi Ngidi is failing to replicate the show with the ball for South Africa. Recently, he toured India to play in T20I and longer version of the game but unfortunately, couldn’t make the most of the opportunity.

I just love what I script. Over the years, Cricket has been my passion and crisping articles on it gives me an immense pleasure...Cheers...!!!
