Rishabh Pant once again on the news in the recent past for all the wrong reasons. The Indian team management tried to sustain with Rishabh Pant at number 4 but his rash shots at crucial junctures of time have once again brought criticism to him. However, the youngster wants to learn as quickly as possible.

He has been under the scanner for throwing his wicket away and with no fifties to his name in the 11 ODIs that he has played for India so far, a big knock is the need of the hour for India’s new No.4. The Delhi wicketkeeper came up with his career-best T20 score of 65 not out in the final T20 game of the series against West Indies and he’ll be hoping for the similar show to wrap up the ODI series as well.

Pant had a bad start to the Windies tour as he was dismissed for 0 and 4 in the first two T20Is of the three-match series. He was later successful in turning around his fortunes as he played a match-winning knock of 65 runs in the third T20I. In the second ODI, the batsman managed to score just 20 runs.

I want to improve as a cricketer – Rishabh Pant

Pant is happy that the team management is supporting each and every player and giving them a proper chance. Rishabh Pant stated that he is focussing to play positive cricket and help the team win matches by staying at the crease.

“Every match is crucial for me and it is not about the next six months. Everyday of my life is crucial and I want to improve both as a cricketer and as a person. That’s what I am looking forward to,” Pant told reporters during a media interaction.

“As an individual, I would like to have a big score but every time I go in, I am not focussing on that. I have been getting out after getting set, so I want to play normal, positive cricket that can help my team win matches,” Pant said.

Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Rishabh Pant in the upcoming few matches for India. The flamboyant batsman has got required elements to be successful but a lack of patience isn’t helping his cause.
