The fast bowlers from India have hogged a lot of limelight for the scintillating performances across the globe. They have played a significant role in India’s dominant run in all three formats. Meanwhile, as they continue to excel, legendary West Indies cricketer Ian Bishop has identified two future talents who can make it big in the near future for the Men in Blues.

The likes of Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and others have done exceedingly well for India in recent times. From a side who lacked quality in their pace, many recognise this bowling unit to be the best in recent times. They have picked wickets on all parts of the world and played a significant role as India won their first-ever Test series in Australia earlier this year.

The likes of Navdeep Saini, Deepak Chahar, and Mohammad Siraj have all done exceptionally well in the domestic circuit and is waiting for an international opportunity. As the Asian Giants continue to dominate the cricketing world, Ian Bishop has identified two talented fast bowlers who can make it big for India in the future.

“I’m eagerly waiting to see if Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti can be fit and continue their progress. Nagarkoti, in particular,” Bishop said in an interview with ESPNCricinfo.

Both Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti came up the ranks during India’s victorious campaign in the U19 World Cup in 2018. They played significant roles as India lifted the title under the leadership of Prithvi Shaw. While Nagarkoti has been struggling with injuries for quite some time, Mavi has impressed with his bowling in the domestic circuit and also in the Indian Premier League for Kolkata Knight Riders.
