Steve Smith has been in spectacular form ever since he returned to Test cricket from one-year suspension due to ball-tampering scandal. Literally he has been the difference between both the side as the Aussies lead the series 2-1 with the final Test going on.
The former Aussie skipper took batting to a whole new level and rightly reclaimed the top spot in the Test rankings from Virat Kohli. He then consolidated his position at the top of the ICC Rankings in the last Test. He has taken the cricketing world by storm scoring three centuries including a double ton and two fifties.

Steve Smith has been one of the main reasons Australia managed to retain the Ashes urn for the first time since 2001 under Steve Waugh’s leadership. He has so far amassed 671 runs in three Tests he played. Smith is in line to surpass Sir Donald Bradman to score the most number of runs in a single series.

After his heroics in the ongoing Ashes series in England, International Cricket Council came up with a unique tweet calling Steve Smith the greatest of all time. The international body acknowledged Smith’s heroics with a post where he can be seen with a fan. However, the picture on the phone shows a picture of a ‘goat’ instead of Smith.

ICC soon came up with another meme which featured Nathan Lyon and Steve Smith, who is famously known as the all-time GOAT. Australia have once again taken an early grip on the fifth Test and will hope to continue their winning run.
