ICC ODI Rankings - Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah Retain Top Position

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has retained his top position in the latest update of the ICC ODI rankings. Kohli has 889 rating points under his belt. Jasprit Bumrah was also able to retain his numero uno position in the rankings ladder. Bumrah has 814 rating points under his bag and there is a lot of difference between the second-placed Trent Boult who has 758 points.

Meanwhile, Australia’s gun fast bowler Pat Cummins has broken into the top five bowlers. Cummins who has scalped 13 wickets in the nine matches made a jump of three spots to claim the third position in the ICC ODI rankings. Pat Cummins’s opening bowling partner Mitchell Starc has made a roaring comeback into the ODI cricket after his injury.

Starc gains big.

Starc has already snared 26 wickets in the nine matches of the World Cup and he has vaulted by 15 places to perch at the seventh position in the rankings ladder.

Afghanistan mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman who had a good tournament has made a leap of four ranks to take the sixth spot. Meanwhile, Rahman’s teammate Rashid Khan who had a mundane tournament as he took six wickets slipped by five positions to share the eight position with Kuldeep Yadav.

On the other hand, Lockie Ferguson who has impressed with brisk pace has gained nine places in the rankings table as he takes the 10th position with 650 points. Ferguson has scalped 17 wickets in the seven matches of the tournament.

Babar Azam who finished with 474 runs in the tournament has jumped by four places to take the third position in the ICC Batsmen rankings. South African skipper Faf du Plessis gains two places to claim the fourth place in the table.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson who is the leading run-scorer for the Kiwis with 481 runs made a jump of four spots to takes the fourth position in the rankings.
