The Indian Cricket Team has been superb across the formats in the recent past. They tasted success in Test format and carried it in the ODI series against Australia and New Zealand. However, their decent run has come to an end, as New Zealand handed a defeat to Indians after a long time. At the drop of hat, it made India lose 2 points in ICC T2oI Rankings.
India, who placed second in the chart, has got a nice chance to consolidate their position by winning the series against Kiwis. However, that wasn’t the case, as they once again failed to deal them in the shortest version of the game, especially, in New Zealand conditions.
Pakistan is at the top with 135 points:
Following the defeat, India lost 2 points, which means, now, they got the rating of 124 points. Now, they are second in the chart with Pakistan at top of the table having bagged 135 points. Third-Ranked South Africa is now 6 points away from equalling India.
South Africa gained the third place after they outsmarting Pakistan back home. They surpassed Australia and England in the chart to ranked third. England is with same 118 points to South Africa but a slight advantage to Proteas pushed them to fourth.
In between, Australia and New Zealand are fighting closely with 117 and 116 points in their kitty. Windies is with 101 points in the seventh-place while Afghanistan got 8th place with 92 points in their kitty. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are at 9th and 10th with 86 points and 77 points respectively.
Meanwhile, after the series win in Dubai against UAE, Nepal surpassed the UAE side to stay at 14th on the chart. They gained 17 points while UAE lost 7 points to drop down to 15th spot.
