ICC Women World T20 2018: Here are India's Group Stage Encounters

India Women team is all set to go all the way in the forthcoming ICC Women World T20 2018. The Women in Blue will commence their tournament against New Zealand at Providence Stadium in Guyana on November 9. The match will begin from 8:30 PM IST.

Subsequently, Women in Blue will square off with arch-rivals Pakistan on November 11 at the same venue and time. Harmanpreet Kaur led-side will take on Ireland in their third group match on November 15. India’s last group match will be against the potent Australian side. India will play all their group matches at Providence Stadium in Guyana.

Could be the last mega event for Mithali Raj.

India is in group B of the coveted tournament which constitutes Australia, Pakistan, Ireland, and New Zealand. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Bangladesh, England, and reigning champions Windies are in Group A. All the group matches will be played in Guyana and Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, St Lucia.

The semi-final and final will take place at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua. Both the semi-finals will take in Antigua on November 22. The group toppers will of Group A will lock horns with the second best team of Group B and vice-versa for the second semifinal. The final will take place on November 24 at the same venue.

India is fifth in ICC T20I rankings whereas Australia holds the numero uno position.

India hasn’t savored success in the World T20 and would like to go all the way in the prestigious tournament. Meanwhile, BCCI Women took to their Twitter account to ask fans to put their weight behind India’s Women team. The post read as, “Get behind our Women’s team lads! Here are our fixtures in the ICC Women’s World T20″.
