He got an incredible fan base across the globe for his immense talent of striking the delivery. Meanwhile, Zaheer Khan feels that ICC World Cup 2015 had made the difference.

Ever since the retirement of AB de Villiers, South Africa is finding it tough to get the team balance right. The poor form of Hashim Amla also made things look tough for the team. However, the emergence of youngsters has given them a great boost ahead of the major event.

Meanwhile, speaking of the AB de Villiers retirement, the former Indian bowler Zaheer Khan feels that the ICC World Cup 2015 heartbreak could have made a massive difference in his thought process. He believes that there is still a lot of cricket left in the Proteas legend.

”I felt it is too soon to take a retirement. He got plenty of game left in him. He is too good a player to play on T20 cricket across the world. I think the 2015 World Cup has played a huge part. Deep down inside, I feel it was an emotional decision for him,” Zaheer Khan quoted.

And, he was very clear about not going through a similar situation again. Clearly, when he made that call of going away from International cricket, he must have thought all the possible things what really could be,” he further added to his lines in an interview with Cricbuzz.

Well, it would be interesting to see whether AB de Villiers will make a return or not. Recently, respective South Africa cleared the rumours of the marathon man making his way back. However, it is still intriguing until the date comes.
