New Zealand will play their third match of the ICC World Cup 2019 against the depleted Afghanistan side, who have lost both their opening matches at Cooper Associates Ground in Taunton. The Kiwis had managed to win their previous match against Bangladesh by two wickets and they would like to continue their good form going. We take a look at look at New Zealand’s Predicted Playing XI and Analysis for the match against Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Afghanistan has been down and out in the first two games. They would need to pull up their socks in the batting department and would like to come up with a better show. In fact, Afghanistan was right on the money with their bowling as Mohammed Nabi had scalped four wickets.

The southpaw batsman had scored 24 runs in the previous match against the Tigers. The left-hander will like to provide a good platform for the Kiwis.

New Zealand skipper had scored a good knock of 40 runs. In fact, Kane Williamson had the rub of the green on his side as he had survived the run-out dismissal.

The talisman batsman had scored a fine inning of 81 runs in the previous match. However, Taylor could not add the finishing touches to the run-chase.

The southpaw wicket-keeper batsman could not trouble the scorers in the last match. The left-hander will like to make a solid comeback against Afghanistan.

The southpaw batsman had scored 25 runs in the last match against Bangladesh. However, Neesham was expensive in the two overs he bowled as he leaked 24 overs.

New Zealand will like to continue their good form going.

The right-hander scored 15 runs and scalped one wicket in the previous match. The all-rounder will aim to provide the finishing touches to the New Zealand innings.

The southpaw batsman had kept calm when the chase had got tricky in the fag end of the innings. Santner played a well-composed knock of 17 runs from 12 balls to help his team get over the line.

The gun fast bowler had bowled with fire as he scalped four wickets. Henry will like to continue his good form going as he has scalped seven wickets in the tournament.

The fiery fast bowler was right on the money as he took one wicket and conceded only 40 runs in his 10 overs. Ferguson has impressed with his brisk pace.
