With the biggest event in the game of cricket set to get underway in a few days of time, the former cricketers and analysts are revealing their squads of the respective teams. Meanwhile, the latest to join the bandwagon is India’s voice of cricket Harsha Bhogle, who picked his squad for Australian side for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019.

Most of the members in the squad are expected to feature in the tournament. However, Harsha Bhogle made the squad look special with some interesting inclusions and exclusions. He also suggested a few interesting players get in the limelight.

David Warner to open:

Starting with the opening section, the cricketer-turned analyst went with the settled three players at the top. He named David Warner, Aaron Finch and Steven Smith in the top-order while Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb will be in the middle.

They are accompanied by Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis as well. In between, surprisingly, Bhogle opted for the services of D’Arcy Short in the squad. Then obviously, Alex Carey will be their wicketkeeper-batsman.

Jhye Richardson gets the nod:

Coming to the fast bowler’s section, he added Jhye Richardson to the fiery unit. He named Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc and gave a suggestion to pick one between Nathan Coulter-Nile and Josh Hazlewood.

And, the same goes with the spin section as well. He named Adam Zampa as the confirmed spinner in the side. Coming to his partner, he suggested one between Ashton Agar and Nathan Lyon would be pretty good for Australia. All in all, it seems like a quality selection.

Also, here is Harsha Bhogle’s Australia Squad for ICC World Cup 2019:

Aaron Finch, David Warner, Steve Smith, Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey, Marcus Stoinis, D’Arcy Short, Adam Zampa, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Jhye Richardson, Coulter-Nile/Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon/ Ashton Agar
