ICC World Cup 2019: Jos Buttler is a 360 Degree Batsman - Jofra Archer

England latest entrant into the World Cup squad Jofra Archer has heaped praise on Jos Buttler. Archer stated that Buttler has the skills to play all around the ground and thus Buttler is a 360-degree batsman. In fact, whenever we talk about a 360-degree batsman, the first name that strikes our mind is AB de Villiers, who has called it quits from International cricket.

On the other hand, Jos Buttler has grown in stature in the last two years. Buttler has come up with consistent performances for England and he is a difficult batsman to bowl to as he can play all around the ground. The combative right-hander has all the shots in his arsenal and hence he is a nightmare for the bowlers.

Jos Buttler is in fine form.

In fact, Buttler is in red hot form in the recent past. The right-hander had scored a fine hundred against Pakistan in the recently concluded bilateral series. He scored 55-ball 110 in the second ODI to help his team win by 12 runs.

Jos Buttler has scored 3531 runs in 130 One Day Internationals at a fine average of 41.54.

Archer stated, “The best player I faced was Jos Buttler in the nets. He is a 360 (degree) cricketer. He can hit you straight down the ground or over the ‘keeper’s head. I don’t think anywhere is safe with him.”

Jos Buttler is going to hold the key for England in the World Cup. The wicketkeeper-batsman is in fine form and he would like to continue his good form going.

On the other hand, England is considered as one of the favourites for the World Cup. They will have the home advantage under their belt and they have played relentlessly in the last four years. Thus, Eoin Morgan-led side will like to continue their stellar form going in the showpiece event.

England will play their first match against Australia today at Rose Bowl, Southampton. The hosts will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa at Kennington Oval on 30th May.
